• Why isn't Gatsby there?
• Mr. Mumbles says that Gatsby was a German Spy during the war while the other women think he killed a man.
• Nick is very curious about who Gatsby is.
• Gatsby invited Nick to fly in his hydroplane 
• Gatsby recognized Nick from the Third Division during the war.
• Gatsby may be shy so he throws a party to try and get to know people.  
• He wants to be thought of as a good person and wants to make the people happy.
• Superficiality- how people see each other.
• Florid- red faced
• Corpulent- obese, big
• "The Lonely Crowd" 
• Gatsby isolates himself and just watches the party. As the people get more drunk Gatsby seems more formal and responsible.
• Jordan is dishonest
